"Once Upon A Short Story" a collection of short
stories, dedicated to Josephine Maciag, a special
lady, who whenever I see her asks, "When are you
doing another book?" Published by Four Winds

Story-telling is not an art, but
what we call a nack.
                                     The Boy Nobody Loved

Billy wasn't a bad kid he was just angry.  At ten years old he had lost count of how many
foster homes he had been in and out of.  And now, here he sat in Juvenile Hall waiting
again to find out the answer to the ultimate question, "What are we going do with Billy the
kid?"

"Mr. Braxton will speak with you now, Billy," the receptionist, a slightly plump middle-aged
woman, ushered Billy into the director's office.

Billy shrugged, his shoulders hunched over, solemn brown eyes downcast.  He had sat
across from Braxton many times.  Never once had Braxton spoken with Billy, only to him
and mostly at him.

"So kid, what do you have to say for yourself?"
Billy's answer was always the same, "Nuthin'."
